| The Tygerberg Hills are the most prominent feature of the Northern Region.
Well protected in the Tygerberg Nature Reserve, these hills give a fantastic and unhindered view of the Cape Peninsula. The commercial centre of this region is the Tyger Valley Shopping Centre on the N1, an enormous shopping centre surrounded by high office buildings. The indoor sports arena of the Bellville Velodrome was originally built for the South African Olympic bid, and has since hosted performances by stars like Billy Joel and Rihanna. |
