The thornveld country of the Bloemhof Dam Nature Reserve is a 12 000 ha conservancy in open Kalahari scrub, offering the visitor game viewing on the reserve, or fishing at one of the most popular angling sites in South Africa.
Created especially for the tourist is the Treasure Route, dedicated to providing the tourist with quality information and assistance.
It enters the Southern Region near Fochville, then follows the national road through Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp, before exiting again at Bloemhof.
