Jeffrey's Bay - Surfers Paradise
Jeffreys Bay Offering endless beaches and endless summers, Jeffrey's Bay is designed for the ordinary, laid back, sun seeking, beach bashing person.

Only 75 km from the cosmopolitan City of Port Elizabeth, Jeffrey's Bay has a superb climate and safe swimming beaches. With over 400 types of shells recorded, Jeffrey's Bay is world renowned for shell collectors looking for that rare find.

Talented surfers come from across the globe to ride their boards in the tubes of majestic waves and the great rollers. Professionals rate Jeffrey's Bay among the ten best surfing spots in the world and many major surfing competitions are held in this seaside village.

At the Kabeljous area in the northern part of the town, nature lovers can enjoy hikes through fynbos. The Seekoei River Nature Reserve offers short hikes and you can visit the Penguin Rehabilitation Centre. Jeffrey's Bay has become a must for the visitor to South Africa.

Other activities include dolphin and whale watching, with the Southern Right most common to these shores. For scuba divers Jeffrey's can be the experience of a lifetime, with some of the most beautiful soft coral and small invertebrates in the Eastern Cape. The depth of the reefs varies from 10 to 50 metres.
