Maun is the gateway to Northern Botswana and the starting point for all types of safaris. Travel north to the fragile ecosystem of the Okavango Delta, an inland river delta, where water appears to float upon the desert. The Moremi Game Reserve, covering 25% of the delta on its eastern edge, lies adjacent to the Chobe National Park, which encompasses a wide variety of habitats and has some of the largest concentrations of game found on the African continent. On to Kasane and down to Nata, into the Nxai/Makgadikgadi Pan National Park. The complex of salt pans are a striking physical feature covering some 12000 square kilometers. In the heat of the day, sky and land seem to merge creating an eerie other-worldly feeling. A unique and delightful wildlife experience awaits you on this journey!

Travelling through Botswana is a stunning visual experience. Take a Mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), perfectly suited to the calm waters of one of the world's largest inland Deltas - the Okavango! Experience an African sunset in Chobe National Park with its vast array of wildlife and take in the beauty of the tranquil and largely uninhabited Nxai and Makgadikgadi dry winter saltpans, which transform into a huge wetland during the rainy season. This spectacular route we travel should only be attempted in a 4 wheel drive!
