This small town is well known by outdoor enthusiasts throughout the country as the surrounding areas offer fantastic nature hikes, and the dam is synonymous with all types of water sports, in particular water-skiing.
Clanwilliam is also popular for its "Veldskoene" (leather shoes). A visit to the factory is worthwhile, and shoes can be bought from them in any size and colour.
Lamberts Bay owes
its origin to humble beginnings as a fishing village. This seaside town boasts superb spots for crayfish diving and there are a couple of snoek runs each year. The town is also filled with incredible bird life and

This
is an area of stark contrast and immense beauty. Stretching over 400kms south to north, one has the opportunity to experience everything. From the Langebaan Lagoon, travel through the magnificent coastal region interspersed with quaint fishing villages, full of marine and bird life to the dramatic back drop of mountain ranges in the interior, with an abundance of citrus farms, wheat fields and wine estates. The wild flowers that bloom in the months August/September are arguably some of the best you will see and the natural beauty that surrounds this spectacular showcase makes a visit to the West Coast of South Africa a very memorable experience!
