Mopane worm is the colloquial name for the caterpillar form of the Mopane Emperor Moth.
The caterpillars feed on the leaves of the Mopane tree and are popular with people as a food item.

| Namibia's capital Windhoek is often described as a city with a ‘continental’ atmosphere, but also has the colour, sounds and tempo of a modern African city. |
Etosha is one of the largest game reserves in Africa. Its definitive feature is the Etosha Pan, a vast, shallow depression of approximately 5 000 km2. |
On the farm "Hoba", lies the largest meteorite ever found. It weighs 50 tons, has a volume of 9 cubic metres and hit the ground here some 80 000 years ago. |
