Boschendal Wines, South Africa A rich 320 year old heritage of vineyard practice and winemaking at Boschendal has set a firm foundation for the current viticultural and winemaking teams to work from.

With vineyards nestling against the slopes of both the Groot Drakenstein and Simonsberg Mountains the Boschendal Viticulturist has the choice of selecting the best sites for his varietals: the cool east facing slopes and a warmer gravel and stonier valley.

Visitors to Boschendal are invited to turn right when entering our main gate and drive through the vineyards towards the Cellar Door, where they can taste a selection of wines, while seated in the shade of a 200 year old oak tree.

The rugged mountains and the age old Camphor trees coupled with the historic Cape Dutch buildings offer a setting of unsurpassed splendour.

Staff and Wine Tasting
Vineyards and Cellar A tour through the vineyards to a lookout point 35m up against the Simonsberg Mountain offers the opportunity to see the different plantings, varietals and soil types on Boschendal, as well as the unique biodiversity of the Simonsberg Mountains.

Cellar tours will take visitors to the heart of where the wines are created and wines can be purchased at our Cellar Door Sales and be sent to any desired destination.
The Boschendal promise is a memorable experience, which we hope will last a lifetime.

Our range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, White Blends (dry & off-dry), Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Blends.
