Nestled in the heart of the Constantia Winelands, Glen Avon Lodge is ideally situated within easy access of the M3 highway linking The Waterfront, the cable way access to Table Mountain and Cape Town city centre, to Muizenberg and the coastal route to The Cape Point Nature Reserve.
The Lodge is close to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, four golf courses and all the well known wine estate and restaurants on the Constantia Wine Route. |
Individually decorated en suite bedrooms, all have separate baths and showers and the bedroom patio's overlook the magnificent gardens.
The bedrooms offer all the comforts of percale linen, an electronic safe, tea and coffee making facilities, a private bar, television, complementary toiletries and laundry service. |

Apart from just enjoying the "away from it all" feeling of Glen Avon, the emphasis is on relaxation, with an eleven metre salt water, solar heated swimming pool, together with a thatched lapa and barbecue area to wind away one's time, mixing with the other guest or just saying "hello" to the family dogs. |
Hearty buffet and full English breakfasts are served, either on the sunny verandah overlooking the rolling lawns and a mass of iceberg roses, or in the dining room with its high ceilings, yellow wood beams and old "Cape Dutch" charm.
Candlelit dinners and a choice of the fine local wines are offered on request in the evenings and cosy fireside conversations are enjoyed together with the owners and your hosts, David, Annette and Wendy Stringer. |
