Hobatere
Lodge
Hobatere Lodge is situated 80 kilometres
north of Kamanjab on the western border of the Etosha National Park.
The lodge offers a taste of the wilderness,
with free roaming animals on a concession area of 32 000 hectares, such
as elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah and many more. |
| Accommodation consists of 12 en-suite
bungalows and rooms, nestled between large mopane trees and a rustic tree
house overlooking a waterhole.
Home cooked buffet meals are served
on the veranda within an indigenous garden or at the boma under the stars.
The lodge has a well stocked bar
with excellent South African wines, curio shop and a lounge with a small
library. |

We offer game drives, during the
day and at night in open vehicles, bird watching, guided walks and for
those that prefer to relax there is a swimming pool with a view over a
waterhole where elephants are often seen.
There is also a private indoor garden
and a terrarium with various local reptiles. |
| For the more adventurous the lodge
is situated within an easy day trip to reach Opuwa where a local guide
can be arranged to escort you to the indigenous Himba Tribe or the Khowarib
Schlucht, a spectacular canyon situated in the Hoanib River. |
