Grüner Kranz started life as "Krug zum grünen Kranze", owned by Ernst Könnecke, in the early part of the 1900's.
Over the years many changes have taken place with various additions to the building until we have what today is, the Hotel Zum Grünen Kranz. The current owner took over the hotel in November 2006.

Situated in the heart of Swakopmund and close to all amenities such as restaurants, tourist info and shops, the area is safe for guests to walk around town for shopping or in the evening to visit other restaurants.
The hotel facilities and services are based around the needs and requirements of our clients. Our 27 tastefully furnished en suite rooms come with high quality beds and linen, direct dial telephone, satellite television and electronic safe.

Facilities include Internet, activity booking office, laundry, 24-hour reception and sundeck. We have recently established a separate parking area for hotel guests with 24-hour security.
On 01 August 2008 we took over the in-house restaurant, renamed it to GK Restaurant (Grüner Kranz Restaurant) and carried out a complete revamp of the premises to give it a new, more stylish feeling.

We offer a varied menu, specialising in game and fresh Kabeljou, as well as a pizza and pasta selection to suit a variety of tastes. Open daily for breakfast and dinner.
Our main bar "Cool Bananas" is open daily from 17h00 until 02h00. Come and enjoy the club atmosphere and dance till you drop. If you are looking for a more relaxing time then visit Johnny in our private bar.
We are also available for private functions, conferences, group lunches or any other special occasion that may arise.
