Knysna Elephant Park, South Africa
Knysna Elephant Park
Come & be touched by an elephant!

Here the legacy of the Knysna Elephants lives on. The experience is somewhat of a closer kind than that at Kruger or Addo.

Our visitors comments are testimony that this is an unforgettable African dream came true.

"Touched by an elephant" takes on a new meaning with the most southerly elephants in the world.

Our commitment to the environment is born of the struggle by the elephants in the Knysna forest.

Come with us on an Elephant Safari. This is an exclusive safari, walking with elephants in the Knysna forests.

Only small parties are catered for and participation qualifies one for life membership of the Select international Friends of the Elephants Club. This experience is described by many as a lifetime high. Booking is essential.

Elephant Safari
Elephant Back Safaris

Knysna Elephant Park is proud to introduce their new Elephant Back Safari. Get a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride one of these incredible creatures.

Enjoy spectacular views of the Outeniqua mountain range as you ride through indigenous Cape fynbos.

Round off this amazing experience with light snacks and refreshments at our lapa.

To the delight of the crew at Knysna Elephant Park, a new family member entered the world on January 1, 2007. Shungu is the Shona word for patience and her arrival was heralded with much trumpeting from the other ellies. We had to help the little one latch for the first time, but thereafter it was plain sailing.

This is the second birth experienced at Knysna Elephant Park, a sure sign that our ellies are comfortable within this environment.

The Knysna Elephant Park is located on the N2 between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.

Our elephants are all orphans from culling operations and are internationally famous. We have guided tours of the most southerly elephants in the world between 8-30 am and 4-30 pm 365 days of the year.

You can feed and even hug them if you wish! A tea garden and elephant curio shop is on site.
