Kwazulu-Natal
a Southafrican province, stretching from the Drakensberg to the coastline, with the option of the most pristine of bushveld experiences imaginable.
Kwazulu-Natal Wildlife (short form: KZN Wildlife) offers just about any kind of getaway destination for tourists who love the great outdoor life. |
| The newly named "KZN Wildlife" came as an amalgamation of the well known "Natal Parks Board" (established in 1947) and the Kwazulu Directorate of Nature Conservation.
It is the conservation authority entrusted with the management of 110 formally protected areas in the province of Kwazulu-Natal. |
 |
 |
Amongst these areas are two World Heritage Sites (there are four in South Africa) - the Greater iSimangaliso (previously St. Lucia) Wetland Park and the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park.
A variety of self-catering accommodation facilities exists in many of these reserves and three "flagship" camps also have restaurants.
These are Hilltop Camp (Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park), Ntshondwe Camp (Ithala Game Reserve) and Giant's Castle (uKhalamba-Drakensberg Park). |
