Captain of your own holiday
LIVE THE DREAM aboard our fully equipped 4- or 6-berth selfdrive houseboats.
We will show you how to pilot your craft and make you captain of your own holiday, catered or self-catered. You will be free to explore the safe, tranquil waters of the Knysna Lagoon.

For holidaymakers houseboating is your accommodation and your entertainment, for honeymooners it is romance and for business people it is an unusual conference and team building opportunity.
Our 6-berth, aluminium-hulled Aquachalets and 4-berth, GRP Leisure Liners come complete with bedding, galleys (with fridges and gas stoves), ‘heads’ (shower rooms with chemical toilets) and portable barbecues. |  |

All boats have two fishing licenses and one bait collection license.
Our shop on shore is stocked with fishing equipment and bait, while our shore facilities offer spacious ablution blocks and an indoor/outdoor conference and functions venue.
Thesen Island mooring is also available for you to explore the shops or enjoy a dinner at one of the famous restaurants. |
With Lightleys Holiday Houseboats you will enjoy all the pleasures of boating, as well as have an ideal base from which to discover the Garden Route. No experience or skipper’s license required we are
now also in Port Alfred and the Vaal River.
