Captain of your own holiday
LIVE THE DREAM aboard our fully equipped 4- or 6-berth selfdrive houseboats.
We will show you how to pilot your craft and make you captain of your own holiday, catered or self-catered. You will be free to explore the safe, tranquil waters of the Knysna Lagoon.

For holidaymakers houseboating is your accommodation and your entertainment, for honeymooners it is romance and for business people it is an unusual conference and team building opportunity.
Our 6-berth, aluminium-hulled Aquachalets and newly-built, 4-berth, GRP Leisure Liners come complete with bedding, galleys (with fridges and gas stoves), "heads" (shower rooms with chemical toilets) and portable barbecues. And our shore facility offers spacious ablution blocks and an indoor/outdoor conference and functions venue. |

All boats have on board two fishing licences and one bait collection licence.
On our premises we have a little shop well stocked with fishing equipment and bait. For those who don't want to travel with their rods,we hire out fishing rods.
Moor your boat at Thesen Island our new exciting overnight area and explore the many interesting shops and fine restaurants. Within easy walking distance of the Waterfront.

With Lightleys Holiday Houseboats you will enjoy all the pleasures of boating and you will have an ideal base from which to discover the Garden Route. No experience or skipper’s license required. We are
now also in Port Alfred and the Vaal River.
