Palmwag Lodge
 |
Palmwag Lodge is a paradise on the Uniab River in the north-west of Namibia – a vacation opportunity with a difference.
Waving palms, sunsets to dream of and spectacular surroundings which harbour the famous desert elephant, the rare black rhino, giraffe, zebra, gemsbok and many other wild animal species– this is Palmwag Lodge, one of Namibia’s oldest and most popular tourist rendezvous.
|
Our lodge is an ideal destination for onward travel to the Kaokoland, Etosha, Epupa Falls, etc. We are accessible via good gravel roads as well as with small aircraft.
A variety of accommodation is offered. There are 30 beds in two 3-bed thatched bungalows, 14 beds in luxury en suite tents and an 8-bed family unit. For those who prefer self catering we have a small campsite for a maximum of 50 people.
A fully licensed restaurant, a swimming pool under shady palms and a very cosy pool bar as well as a lapa are also available.

Morning and afternoon game drives are offered daily. The well laid-out hiking trails let you enjoy and discover the neighbouring nature.
With early booking, we offer guided full day excursions as well as scheduled guided camping safaris through the breathtaking landscapes of the Damaraland.
Experience spectacular close-up viewing of Namibia’s only free-ranging game e.g. zebra, kudu, oryx, springbuck, ostrich, jackal, hyena and with a bit of luck the endangered black rhino and desert elephant. Alternatively visit with us the local Ovahimba people in their villages. This nomadic tribe still lives according to ancient traditions and rituals.

We also offer a 3-day / 2-night nature and wildlife package including a most enjoyable guided game viewing drive into this game rich wildlife area.
