Bayworld - Port Elizabeth Museum Complex, South Africa

Feast your eyes on exquisite sea creatures at our Bayworld with Port Elizabeth Museum Complex and oceanarium.

Watch Port Elizabeth's graceful Indian Ocean Bottlenose dolphins - both born at the Oceanarium - as they enjoy the crowds every morning and afternoon.

Underground viewing windows allow you also to see the dolphins at play in their tranquil underwater world.

Observe our Cape fur seals and the large Southern Ocean Elephant seals as they swim or laze in the sun.

Oceanarium
Ocean Elephant seals

Enjoy close encounters with fascinating game and reef fish, with sharks, rays and turtles in two large aquaria.

By visiting the Oceanarium, your entrance fee will help support our task to protect the oceans and the surroundings.

All our animals were either born in our oceanarium, in other aquaria or were victims of injury or oil pollution and have been nursed to health at our animal hospital.

When they have fully recovered, we integrate them into their natural environment. If this is not possible as with our cormorants, which can not fly, we continue to care for them giving you the opportunity to watch them in our complex.

If you would like to support us with a donation we offer you the possibility to adopt one of our animals. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

There is more to see and to experience in our Snake Park & Tropical House and in our interesting Museum.
