Pumba Private Game Reserve with its spectacular 5-star lodge is situated in the heart of the Eastern Cape's malaria-free game viewing region, 105 km from Port Elizabeth and 20 km from Grahamstown.

Our safari lodge overlooks Lake Kariega, and a natural water hole where the animals come to drink.

Our guests are invited to enter Pumba's wildlife world of adventure where the Big 5 and a large variety of other animals can be seen. Anything from leopard to eland can be expected.

The game reserve has a wide biodiversity with a magical ecosystem. Guests will also marvel at over 300 species of birds and other intimate encounters with fauna and flora. These safari tours are conducted in custom-built vehicles.

With only eight waterfront stone cottages, our guests can be ensured of personal attention and care from their hosts at all times.

The common facilities the lodge has besides its lodging service comprise a swimming pool, guest lounge, restaurant, bar, wine cellar and a curio shop as well as a safari day centre for visitors with limited time.

Dining is an experience at Pumba where our chefs create mouth-watering masterpieces. Meals can be served in various locations such as the central dining room, main decks, starlit boma or privately. Private candlelit dinners can be arranged.

Our rates includ full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and two games drives per day.
