Mountain Pastures is a private game
reserve situated near to Uniondale just off Route 62, at the foot of the
Kouga Mountains.
Formerly an agricultural desert,
this unique game reserve is now home to more than 4000 plant species, 40
animal species and 130 bird species, as a result of a successful partnership
between man and nature, towards a sustainable future. |
| Due to the fact that predators like
the cape lion are extinct, and the limited amount of leopard in our reserve,
it becomes necessary from time to time, to cull selected animals, that
cannot be caught and sold. We therefore arrange specific hunts for hunters.
You replace the Lion.
We also arrange to hunt on other
farms in our vicinity. Normally we have kudu, impala, gemsbuck, blue wildebeest,
zebra, eland, springbuck, blesbuck, fallow deer, ostrich and lynx available. |
