White Shark Africa
Great White Sharks have always fascinated humans for various reasons. Perhaps it is their imposing size, its graceful beauty, perfectly adapted to their environment, patrolling our oceans since the beginning of time or their powerful predatory behaviour instilling pure fear in our hearts and beckons us to come closer and closer.
If you are one of those who would like to come just that little bit closer to experience the White Shark in its natural environment above or under water, then this is for you!
|
Mossel Bay, approx 350 km from Cape Town along the world famous Garden Route, is known to have the most stable weather conditions in the country, providing us with many advantages. It is without a doubt one of the best White Shark sites in the world, albeit one of the lesser known.
Working around Seal Island, a Cape Fur Seal colony with several thousand seals provides unique opportunities to observe attacks by White Sharks on seals. The boat ride to the island takes 10 minutes from the harbour. |

Our boat "Shark Warrior" is a modern 11.5m long and 4m wide motor cat custom built for shark diving.
The boat was designed with your comfort in mind and has a large viewing platform on top as well as space on main deck for seating and viewing, and a toilet and cabin. |
| Our diving and viewing trips are wonderfully educational and you will walk away enriched in both soul and mind.
As the only White Shark operation along the Garden Route, we're afforded the advantage of seals being our only competition for the shark's attention.
The bay also plays host to large numbers of whales in season, June to November. While on the subject of marine mammals, schools of up to 500 dolphins make a spectacular site and are often seen in the bay. |
