3-star Tangala Safari Camp is one of the last remaining authentic experiences in South Africa that has been a legacy of the family for more than three generations.
This intimate and exclusive private camp is situated in the 22 000 acre Thornybush Private Nature Reserve, a prime ecological area abounding in wildlife.
We have created the feel of Africa long forgotten and our team strives to give all guests the ultimate African bush experience. |
Our five twin bedded thatched chalets have been interior designed to provide the ultimate in rustic luxury. All chalets have en suite facilities and its own private viewing patio.
The camp is electricity free with kerosene lamps/lantern lighting being provided. |

Our camp consists of a central dining and lounge area with full bar and a swimming pool with a deck.
We also have striking views of the Drakensberg Mountains and are close (20 minutes) to the Orpen Gate of the world famous Kruger National Park. |

| Wildlife activities here enable guests to touch, taste and smell Africa. You can begin your day with a game drive of approximately four hours, accompanied by a qualified ranger and tracker.
By contrast Tangala aims to offer guests a much more up close and personal intimate bush experience - perfect for the visitor who wants to get more out of their African experience than simply ticking off the Big Five.
