Woodmill Lane opened in 1990 when
an amazing restoration of the old sawmill and timber factory was completed.
It is a unique shopping centre and meeting place, the heart of the village. |
| Woodmill Lane is a monument to Knysna's
past. With its restoration completed, it still holds the original yellowwood
and other timber. The boiler rooms still exist and the sawmill's chimney
is still visible.

remnants from its sawmill days with the mill hooter still blowing at noon!
